I like the character of Forrest in a Forrest Gump story.
Even just in dreams...
I admire so much his ability to be patient
I admire so much his ability to be patient
no matter how painful his undergone.
I wish to be like him but I cannot be like him.
Not because he is a man and I am a woman.
His ability to set the direction as well as focuses on what he wanted to happen in his life is so admirable, extravagantly admirable! That he even set a woman free from what she wanted to happen in her life. He even exerted so much effort as to express the love to a woman wasn’t ready yet. Despite a woman’s betrayal to him he even waited for so long to let the woman decides and sees for herself what she really wanted to happen.
From the beginning till the end of the story, Forrest remain faithful to his lovingly dream girl even how painful it was for him to deal with his very own difficulties. His amazing patience remains consistent even to the extent of embracing the woman’s pains as his own pain. He fulfilled his dream by marrying a girl though he seems to be the last option left in a woman’s life.
How admirable it is to see such a man’s heart, which waited for so long for a woman to truly love him. No matter how great his suffering is Forrest seems to be the strongest and awesome character I saw in many great movies.
If I were to put in a spiritual context, He seems to have a character of a God who never imposed that one must love him no matter what. His like a God who is ready to wait when you are coming back. And if one comes back a feast is ready to serve in a matter of seconds.
Oh, how I wish to be like Forrest and yet even in my wildest dreams I cannot be like him.
I am not Forrest Gump. Are you?
