a PBA player

It was Thursday afternoon, when I’ve met a friend of mine,
who fortunately became a professional basketball player in our country.
I walked hurriedly to a known bakeshop to buy some food
to give to an important friend somewhere in nearby city.
Someone say Hi! And called my name...
So I stared at him while I’m walking a bit faster.
I think he was saying something to me
but I just simply wave my hand and said also Hi!
And then, that’s it!

The story ends every time I wave my hands and say Hi!
I can still remember when we were a student

in one of the university here in Davao City,
every time I and my ex-boyfriend pass by to a place
where they were also staying,
I suddenly with held my hands to his arm and acting
as if I have to get something inside my bag.
Guess what? I’ve been doing it for quite so often

that he never even noticed what’s going on inside of me...
that I was simply playing and fooling him for doing that.
And it is because I never shared anything about
that basketball player to him. (Peace Tares!)
Honestly, I like him so much that I was able to let go

of my obsession about him long before he became
a professional basketball player. The reason because
we’re not really meant for each other and maybe
because it was a choice influenced by my older brother. (lol)
Well, never did I regret anything

because at least we remain good friends.
He still knows me and I still know him.
And great! I am happy to know that his engaged already
to a one of the relative of our Vice-President Noli de Castro.
O diba Astig! He3 they’re getting married next year
(wish am their psalmist ha3).
What else can I say,

May the Lord bless you and protect you as always!
Goodluck!
(Ninang ako hah? Hindi sa kasal nyo… ba naman…!
Kabatabata ko pa… sa magiging anak ninyo, syempre… ha3)
